Marshall Public Library is teaming up with the National Archives at Kansas City to bring two programs on genealogy to area citizens at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19, in the library's meeting room. Jennifer Audsley Moore, archives technician and volunteer coordinator at the archives, will present "Introduction to Genealogy: Where to Begin?"
If you are interested in starting your family history research, but aren't sure where to begin, this program will teach you how to start. The program covers the basics of what you need, where you can find information, what resources are available to assist and how original records will help tell your family's story.
At 1 p.m. Moore will present "Why Can't I Find It?: Ways to Search More Effectively through Online Resources."
