Next Saturday, April 26, 2014, the Historic Daniel Boone Home & Heritage Center will be hosting Journey West! It’s a family-friendly, first-person event where the visitor will assume the role of a settler traveling west from Missouri, or a settler traveling here from Kentucky. The entire Boone Home site will be transformed into a village from the 19th century. There will be special guests including Dale Besse, a renowned Native American Beadwork artist; Tonya Blackowl Moore, a Ponca/Kiowa American Indian who will be addressing the nuances of Native American culture; and Angela da Silva, cultural preservationist and performer of "Lila: The Life of a Missouri Slave". The day will also include Tomahawk throwing, live "period-accurate" auctions, and food available for purchase.

Please don't hesitate to call or email me should you have any questions.
