CIVIL WAR DAY AT MISSOURI STATE MUSEUM

JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri State Museum will host a Civil War Day on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, this event is presented in conjunction with the Museum’s exhibit, “Civil War Missouri: A House Dividing” and the 150th anniversary of Missouri’s role in the Civil War.

Visitors will be able to discover Missouri’s Civil War history through period games, dress and artillery drills. Members of the Missouri Irish Brigade of Civil War Re-enactors will interact with visitors on the south lawn of the Capitol grounds. Museum staff will present the Civil War artillery program, “Ready, Aim, Fire.”
