Come to CFA’s 13th Annual Convention!! We are planning a very interesting program, and you’ll want to schedule some extra time for some of the local attractions - here’s some of what is in store for us:

We hope you will come a few days early and enjoy the sights of Seattle. We’re wanting to visit the attractions at the Pike Place Market, climb to the top of the Space Needle (take the elevator, not walk) and Ride the Ducks of Seattle - a tour of Seattle by land and water on a WWII amphibious landing craft! You haven’t see Seattle until you’ve seen it from a Duck! Seattle has lots more to offer - come to the 2013 Chapman Family Association annual meeting in Seattle, Washington - You’ll be glad you did!!

For any of you wanting to do a little genealogical research - be sure to take time to visit the Seattle Genealogical Society Library. Since all residents have migrated west from other locations all over the country, they have lots of information to help locate your ancestors. We will have a presentation on finding information in the vast collection. Come early or stay late and do some family research of your own.

The Program - The program will consist of a variety of presentations and there will be a silent auction, hopefully some sessions at the Library, and a fantastic photo contest and display! Sessions will include sharing stories about our Chapmans On the Go!, and other historical and genealogical topics.

Join in the Fun - Here’s How:

1. Register Today - Fill out a registration form (on our website) and send it to Treasurer Lennae Seevers. Instructions and her address are on the form.

2. Silent Auction - Bring something for door prizes and for the silent auction. Suggested items are t-shirts, jewelry, mugs, food items, anything fun from your state.

3. “Chapmans On the Go!” Photo Display and Contest - Send Shelley Chapman, photo chairman, pictures of your Chapman Heroes. See details on the enclosed flyer. All photos received by May 25, 2013 will be displayed and entered in this year’s contest. In addition, all photos will become part of the Chapman Photo Project.

4. Absentee Ballot - If you doubt you will be able to attend this year, send your Ballot to CFA Secretary Pauline Chapman. Her address is on the form. You must be a current active member to vote.

Final Note - If you have let your membership lapse, please reconsider. Renew your membership - send dues to Treasurer Lennae Seevers, and join in this year’s fun. We’ve missed you!
