So much so that they’ve granted its maker, On Demand Books, access to the digital scans they’ve performed of two million books in the public domain:


Note: I’m in favor of Google’s attempt to make all books ever published available online-- but I think we all knew that a price would need to paid at some point for Google’s Herculean efforts in that regard. If that price is fees paid by persons who desire a print copy of a public domain book that’s available full-text (and free) online, then I think it’s a small price to pay for value received.
