Free Beginning Genealogy lectures will be presented:
A. GENEALOGY FOR BEGINNERS
Nov 17, 2009-- 1 p.m. at the Mascoutah Heritage Museum, 306 W. Main, Mascoutah, IL. Presented in conjunction with museum displays on immigrants.
B. TWO-PART WORKSHOP
Co-sponsored by St. Clair Co. Gen. Society and the Belleville Public Library Archives.
Location: Belleville Public Library, 121 E. Washington St., Belleville, IL.

12 December 2009-- DAY 1
Provides the tools and resources needed to begin your family tree. Sign up for either the 10:00 a.m. –Noon or 1:00 p.m. –3:00 p.m. session. Apply lessons learned using time remaining at the Library that day, or anytime before Day 2.
9 January 2010-- DAY 2
Bring the results of your research back to the library. One-on-one evaluation and further research suggestions will be provided by Society genealogists and Archives staff. Choose a time that is convenient for you.
Two-part workshop is geared to meet requirements for Boy Scouts of America Genealogy Merit Badge.
