I notice the Life Magazine Photo Archives icons have disappeared from Google Image Search-- but the Life Magazine photos are still there. To search them, instead of searching like this:

Add source:life to your search string:

Great site - great links. Your posts are a model of brevity. Those Life photographs are the greatest single donation to the "Web Bank" that I know of - not quite large enough for print use but fine for (non-commercial) computer or video use.
