Then pack your bag for the 16th Annual German Genealogical Conference, scheduled to be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 8:30 AM-4 PM at the Des Moines (IA) Botanical Center. The guest speaker will be Baerbel K. Johnson, A. G., a professional genealogist who also works at the Family History Library as an International Reference Consultant.
Topics to be covered will include “Using German Church Records; Using German Civil Registration Records; Marriage Laws and Customs in Germany; and Strategies for Solving German Research Problems.”
