GOT GERMANS?

…and free time, and plenty of money for gas? Then pack your bag for the 16th Annual German Genealogical Conference, scheduled to be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 8:30 AM-4 PM at the Des Moines (IA) Botanical Center. The guest speaker will be Baerbel K. Johnson, A. G., a professional genealogist who also works at the Family History Library as an International Reference Consultant.

Topics to be covered will include “Using German Church Records; Using German Civil Registration Records; Marriage Laws and Customs in Germany; and Strategies for Solving German Research Problems.”
