GETTING TO KNOW YOUR FLASH DRIVE

Want to know more about your flash drive (or just plain want to find out what the heck a flash drive is)? Dick Eastman offers a great intro in his online newsletter. You’ll want to read the entire article, but four facts stand out:

1. You’d better get to know flash drives, since the floppy drive is officially dead;
2. Flash drives are easy to use, easy to transport, can store A LOT of files, and seem to be getting cheaper all the time;
3. You’ll need either a Mac or Windows 98 or later OS to use flash drives; and
4. Sending flash drives through the washer and dryer is not recommended.
