GREETINGS FROM ANCESTRY.COM

This message from Ancestry.com CEO Tim Sullivan went out to subscribers recently:

DEAR NAMELESS RECIPIENT,

We've worked hard to bring you another exciting year of Ancestry.com. We thank you for being a member — and letting us continue helping you discover more of your family story. We hope you've enjoyed the updates and improvements we made to the site throughout the past year. You have plenty more to look forward to.

A quick recap of the last 12 months:

•We improved family trees by dramatically increasing the hint quality and by adding hints to almost all public member trees, photos and stories
•We added 1 billion new names and 700 new databases including US passport applications, and millions of new military records
•We brought you a new level of service and value with the Ancestry Premium membership, including an exclusive support hotline, discounts on Ancestry products and more
•We introduced DNA.Ancestry.com, an incredible way to learn about your ancient ancestry and connect with family members you never knew you had
•We added more exciting FREE tools and services, including Bulk Photo Upload, the Ancestry Storytelling Service, AncestryPress and more
•We introduced monthly and quarterly memberships in response to member requests
•We added more international Ancestry sites and worldwide members to a list that now includes Sweden, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, Australia and the UK
•And much more.

What's coming in the next 12 months?

We know there's always more to discover. So we never stop scouring the world for historical records, developing new online tools and listening closely to member feedback.

Here's what you can expect from Ancestry.com in the coming year:

•A historical newspaper collection that will grow by more than 1 billion names and more than 20 million new images from all 50 states
•Significant improvements to our worldwide military and immigration collections
•Over 50 million new state vital records by mid-year
•Improved Ancestry Hints™ that link to almost all collections — and even other members
•A complete overhaul of our search engine to provide much more powerful search tools, enabling quicker success
•New tree views and reports
•DNA integration with member trees to help you find even more connections
•New ways to work together with your family and the Ancestry Community
•Improved Person Pages that capture even more details about your ancestors
•More work toward offering Asian records and trees through our new office in China

Of course, you have a say about the future of Ancestry.com too. Tell us what you think about our plans on our new BLOG. I'll try to respond to as many comments as I can.

Thanks again for letting us partner with you as you learn more about the generations before you. We look forward to continually improving Ancestry.com as you continue down your path through family history.

Warm regards,

Tim Sullivan
President and CEO
